Ever since I heard of, and bought my PAX Prime '11 badge I've been working on how I'm going to build my Clayton Carmine costume, unfortunately I only had about 1 month to do it, and instead of rushing it I decided to wait until after PAX to work on it. For those of you who don't know who Clayton Carmine is or what he looks like here is a quick pic.

As you can tell, he's quite the badass. Now for me to costume this guy right I also need to drop some weight and build some muscle, which I have started already, I've dropped 15 lbs since PAX (yay me!).

While at PAX I met some guys who had some badass armor (pic.2) and talked to the maker of the armor and asked him how he made it and he gave some great tips and tricks on how to make it.
The only thing holding me up from making my armor is sheer funding. Since I'm taking a break from college and my work study I'm trying to making my armor "on the cheap". While trying to find ways to make my armor I stumbled across a little thing called "Pepakura".
Pepakura is making armor or other things of of paper-stock or card-stock and then using resin and bondo then doing the detailing on it. I've started using it and have made a few attempts, but I'm still learning. Here are some pictures of what I've done thus far.
Well I'm gonna call this a wrap for now, I'll see ya'll later.
How are you, I built a quick set for a friend and am going to clone most of the pieces hit me up on Facebook for pics and I got some other ways to go about building other then pep
ReplyDeleteDo you still have the pep files? Im having a hard time finding them.
